What does it mean to be a writer? Seriously, I’m not sure. I’ve always thought of myself as a journaler rather than a “proper” writer. Ms. Carter, my 7th grade English teacher, would have agreed that I’m not much of a writer. I barely squeaked by with a “C-” in her class. My grammar was (and is) horrendous and I had no interest in conjuring up stories or painting word pictures with flowery language, and still don’t.
